I come from Vancouver where I am blessed with some of the worlds best restaurants ranging from a variety of cuisines… let’s just say I was a little skeptical of finding a quality restaurant out in Sidney. But boy, do I ever regret feeling skeptical because stonehouse pub absolutely blew me away! The location is nice and private out by the cove and really set the tone for a warm meal. The house itself is beautiful and cozy.
Highlights
-staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and professional
-food was outstanding. Super flavourful, fresh ingredients, great menu that had everything for everyone, and perfect sized portions for the amazing quality
– You must try the sambuca prawn appetizer!
– I came with a large group and got to try a little bit of everything from appies to pizzas to entrees and i must say everything was consistently delicious!

Huge shout out to staff and the owner Joe for running such a great restaurant. I will definitely be back, even if it means going out of the way on the island!

We went there with our kids, 2 grandkids and puppy. Although the patio is not dog friendly we were able to tie the dog to a tree close enough to our table. The service was outstanding and the food delicious. Not only would we go back, we would highly recommend to friends and family.

I was having a low day a couple of days ago. The pasta dish I ordered was really tasty. I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere of the Stonehouse. People from all walks. I so appreciate the positivity of the bartender that evening. The food, the good vibe, but especially the bartender’s generous spirit, lifted me up. Thank you for an oasis of the good life!
